When MarketingProfs’ wanted to create a little extra buzz around their annual B2B Marketing Forum event, they capitalized on the popularity of their Chief Content Officer (and overall marketing and social media celebrity,) Ann Handley. Known equally for her thought-leadership in content marketing as well as for her infectious, humorous personality, MarketingProfs brainstormed a campaign to give every attendee the opportunity to have a little fun with an Ann of their own in “The Adventures of Flat Handley”. In the campaign, attendees were encouraged to bring their “Flat Handley” along with them through their daily work activities, home lives and in their travels.
MarketingProfs turned to Kilroy Creative to create the whimsical Flat Handley herself. They wanted “her” to harken back to the cut out dolls of old, complete with the cut-out guide. Once the Flat Handley was created, Kilroy set out to create the graphics that would evoke the spirit of this interactive, buzz-worthy social media campaign.
